The Next Generation

Through discipline, strategic thinking, and accountability, youth unlock the core traits of innovators—curiosity, creativity, imagination, resilience, and perseverance—D.O.Y. provides structured youth development and violence intervention programming designed to reduce risk factors associated with community violence and justice involvement.

Our mission

D.O.Y. strengthens economic stability in underserved communities by disrupting cycles of youth violence and recidivism through high-intensity structured programming, reentry support, legal navigation, and direct pathways to employment, education, and entrepreneurship for high-risk youth and returning citizens.

Our vision

At D.O.Y Corp, we envision communities that are safe, empowered, and equipped to reach their fullest potential. We are dedicated to supporting each community’s unique goals by providing personalized innovative solutions and meaningful partnerships built on trust and collaboration. We value long-term relationships and are proud to work alongside diverse individuals and organizations across many industries. Our vision is for a world where every person shares their potential with one another through global programs grounded in integrity, passion, and strong leadership.

The Problem We Address

Underserved neighborhoods face:

  • High rates of youth violence and retaliation cycles
  • Limited structured after-school programming
  • Barriers to employment for returning citizens
  • Economic instability and unemployment
  • Job readiness
  • Limited access to essential resources and legal navigation
  • Gaps in consistent mentorship for high-risk youth ages 12–26

Without intervention, young people are more likely to experience:

  • School dropout
  • Justice system involvement
  • Gang recruitment
  • Long-term economic instability

Our Approach

D.O.Y. delivers a high-intensity, structured intervention model that includes:

  • 5+ hours of daily programming
  • Conduct-based stipends that reinforce accountability
  • Economic ownership and workforce training
  • Integrated legal navigation support
  • A clear youth-to-adult progression system

We exist to interrupt cycles of violence and create structured pathways to stability, accountability, and economic mobility.

Why Our Model Works

  • Structured daily engagement reduces idle time during peak violence hours
  • Conduct-based stipends reinforce accountability
  • Economic pathways reduce recidivism risk
  • Ambassador presence increases informal social control
  • Integrated services reduce service fragmentation
  • Doorstep resource delivery stabilizes vulnerable households, strengthens trust, and allows early identification of emerging safety concerns

95% of participants reported increased safety awareness

Each year in April, D.O.Y. engages 150 youth from Chicago, Illinois in a structured violence prevention and mentorship experience at a Chicago White Sox and other sports game. This initiative is designed as a proactive intervention that provides a safe, supervised environment where youth can temporarily step away from high-risk community conditions and engage in positive social development, exposure to professional athletics, and structured peer connection.

Participants are organized in supervised cohorts led by trained D.O.Y. ambassadors, with structured transportation, clear behavioral expectations, and consistent mentorship throughout the experience. This ensures safety, accountability, and intentional engagement at every stage of the event.

This annual initiative is not an isolated activity, but an integrated component of D.O.Y.’s broader violence prevention and youth development model, which includes Safe Zone programming, mentorship, and workforce development pathways. Together, these interconnected services are designed to reduce exposure to community violence, strengthen protective factors, and support long-term behavioral, educational, and social stability for participating youth.

D.O.Y. operates with a fully staffed team and professional board, delivering 25+ hours per week of high-intensity, structured violence prevention, mentorship, economic ownership pathways, community services, and workforce training for high-risk youth. Our SOP-driven model ensures compliance, consistent program fidelity, measurable outcomes, and verified workforce achievements for up to 100+ participants at a defined cost per youth. Fully measurable, cost-effective, and designed for easy replication, our programs reduce exposure to violence while increasing long-term economic stability and opportunity.

D.O.Y. doesn’t just provide programs — we create a community innovation pipeline. Every service, from mentorship and safe zones to workforce training and outreach ambassadors, is connected to guide youth and adults from accountability to leadership, turning neighborhoods into living classrooms for skills, opportunity, and entrepreneurship. We transform residents into active problem-solvers, innovators, and leaders in their own communities, reducing violence, boosting economic stability, and inspiring the next generation of change-makers.

Every cash donation directly supports structured violence prevention, reentry services, sports, mentorship, and economic empowerment programming for youth and returning citizens in underserved communities.
